Migration and Ophthalmology

Treating the growing number of traumatized patients, particularly refugees fled from war zones, poses specific challenges for ophthalmologists. At the symposium “Migration and Ophthalmology”, organized by the DOG section International Ophthalmology, Professor Dr. med. Malek Bajbouj, Director of Affective Neurosciences at Charité Berlin, will share his experiences and make recommendations on how to interact with and treat patients that have suffered severe traumas.
